Guirado's Artistic Significance:
Despite his international success during the 1960s and 70s Guirado's withdrawl from the major art world in the 1980s due to his dissionlusiment with the lack of recognition he received from Spain, despite his success oversees, Guirado's art has gained recognition for its quality and originality, leading to increased interest from collectors. His relevance to the art world lies in his innovative approach to painting and his ability to evoke deep emotions through his work with his visonary environmental, spiritual and political compositions far before the current trend.
Comparison to Bosch and Dali:
Comparisons to Bosch, Ek Greco, Kandinsky and Dali can be drawn in terms of the surreal and dreamlike elements present in their art. Guirado, like Bosch and Dali, created fantastical worlds in his paintings that often explored themes of the subconscious and the human condition.
Collectability of Guirado's Art:
The collectability of Guirado's art stems from its scarcity and unique aesthetic appeal. As his work becomes more recognized and appreciated, collectors are drawn to the opportunity to own pieces by an artist who has been undervalued in the past. Guirado has an impressive VIP collectors list as well as being in major museum collections including the permanent collection of the Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid
